Modules from Magicsunday require different installation method

I now had it twice that I installed modules from magicsunday, such as
https://github.com/magicsunday/webtrees-descendants-chart
via your extension manager and it broke the extension. I assume by using the wrong artifact / files from the release.

Also question: are stale files being removed?

Thank you for the positive feedback and for reporting the issue.

Regarding the magicsunday modules, I only know about an issue with the new module "webtrees-statistics", which is fixed now. Regarding other magicsunday modules, I did not observe any issues yet. Do you remember a version numbers of a module, where the update failed?

Also question: are stale files being removed?

No, I spent some thoughts on this and decided to follow the same approach like webtrees, where new files are copied over the existing files. If the programmer does not take care, it might create issues. On the other hand, some modules create files during operation and those files might be lost if removing the old files before an upgrade.

Maybe, I could introduce a configuration flag, which could be assigned to certain modules that old files are removed before upgrading.
