Ward has a project in development - the 'federated wiki'. It's being sponsored by Nike, with plans to use it to put their CSR research online and public. As implemented, it covers a lot of the bases that you specified below. Ward is excited about using the system to enabled a building pattern community.

Ward showed us some very interesting functionality where an uploaded spreadsheet drove a dynamic visualization of data. This dovetails with your interests in data and visualization. I imagine that connection to live data streams and/or implementation of 3d visualizations are all within the realm of possibility here.
